Dr. Ahmed Ragheb is one of the most prominent experts in the field of male infertility and sexual dysfunction in Egypt. He has extensive experience in microscopical surgical extraction of sperm in difficult cases of azoospermia and penile implants for the treatment of erectile dysfunction with the latest techniques, some attributed to himself and his surgical team.
Dr. Ahmed Ragheb graduated from the oldest and largest medical school in Egypt and the Middle East, Kasr Alainy Medical School of Cairo University, which is considered the original school of medicine in the Arab world. That is where he received his training as a resident and then associate staff and then staff after obtaining his masters and doctorate degree in Urology. Later, Dr. Ragheb underwent a 2 year fellowship in Male Infertility and Andrology and related microsurgery in the Urology department and the American Center for Reproductive Medicine of the Glickman Kidney and Urology Institute, Cleveland Clinic, Ohio which is ranked #1 in Urology across America. During these 2 years he also fulfilled a joint PhD in the field of reproductive medicine studying the effect of cancer on semen quality and sperm DNA fragmentation and published a number of articles and book chapters in renowned Urology journals and andrology books. He also earned his United States Medical License Examination certificate after which he moved to Houston Texas to join the surgical arm of the research team working on state of the art prostate cancer research for one year at the Scott Urology Department, Baylor College of Medicine, Texas.
Dr. Ahmed Ragheb is considered one of the few distinguished physicians around the world to receive the Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes (UEMS) MJCSM Board Certification in sexual medicine, which has earned him the title of Fellow of European Committee of Sexual Medicine (FECSM). This certificate is awarded through the Multidisciplinary Joint Committee of Sexual Medicine (MJCSM) as a distinguished credential in the field of sexual medicine with the aim of optimizing the training of specialized doctors in sexual health ultimately ensuring the highest standards of health care in the field of sexual medicine among all European Union countries and subsequently around the globe.
